Some concept illustrations I did for Lacoste Live.

Sitting at the Edge of the Universe

“They kept walking still, and finally, reached the edge of the world. They sat down, legs dangling, and squinted their eyes to see if they could spot anything else beyond the sea of a gazillion, million stars.

But there was nothing, except for the endlessness of the black void and its multitude of flickering tiny shards of light.

It was then that they realised how small and insignificant they really were against the magnificent greatness of the universe and all matter, a mere organism among the complex web of every connected life form that exists: bacterium, protist, fungi, multicellular structures - akin to that of a little dust-particle-size of grounded peanut in a whole bottle of peanut butter.

And they held each other hands tight, somehow glad that they found each other in this impossible world of everything, two little particles that came together by a lucky chance of fate, and with a little help from billowing winds.”

Part I of 3am Doodles: People I Know

I like being alone.

I like drinking coffee alone, and reading alone.
I like riding the bus alone, and walking home alone.
It gives me time to think, and set my mind free.

I like eating alone, and listening to music alone.

But when I see a mother with her child, a girl with her lover, or a friend laughing with their best friend, I realize that even though I like being alone, I don’t fancy being lonely. The sky is beautiful, but the people are sad. I just need someone who won’t run away.
